Old style ozone "plates" may create large amounts of Nitrogen Oxides which are offensive, irritating, and dangerous. Air-Zone's patented ozone elements are in a permanently molded housing, that require NO adjustment whatsoever.  They also don't produce dangerous Nitrogen Oxides.   Air-Zone® uses 24 carat gold plating in all our  United States Patented ozone elements to help prevent corrosion. We also use high temperature, shatter resistant, tempered glass in our innovative ozone elements. Old style ozone "plates" consist of flimsy, easily corroded, steel screens and delicate, thin pieces of glass or mica, less than a millimeter thick. They must ALWAYS be kept perfect alignment or there is a chance that screens will touch and the transformer will short out and become a fire hazard. We do not use MICA ozone plates in our ozone generators. The Countdown Timer runs the machine for  10, 20, 30, minutes, or up to 2 1/2 hours and then it shuts the unit off. The Continuous mode allows for longer, or overnight applications.  It's smart chip remembers the timer setting last set even if the unit is unplugged!

An electronic protection circuit and fuse prevent the internal components from overload & burnout.

They keep the inside of the unit dust free so that ozone output does not drop as in may ozone generators as they become dirty.

PVC plastic is very sturdy and prevents internal rust and oxidation.

Test Conclusions:

The ozone generator was found to easily obtain an ozone concentration level of at least 0.3 ppm within 10 minutes of operation, no matter where in the room the unit was placed, or where the ozone concentration was measured.

It has been previously proven in University of Pennsylvania studies that E coli bacteria will be killed at average 0.28 ppm ozone concentration within two hours.

In our opinion, it can then be reasonably concluded that the Mold-Kill XT-6000 ozone generator will kill 99% of all E coli bacteria, in a 1700cubic foot room within a time period of 60-90 minutes.

We thus make these conclusions since higher ozone concentrations than needed to kill 
E coli bacteria can be obtained in a shorter period of time with the Mold-Kill XT-6000.

Other recent studies have also proven that ozone concentrations within 0.10 ppm and 0.40 ppm
will kill most any bacteria or viruses in a relatively short period of time.

It is then reasonably safe to conclude that most other pathogens will also be destroyed by the Mold-Kill XT-6000 within a short period of time.

It is important to note that  these high levels of ozone needed to kill bacteria, can only be used in rooms unoccupied of people, plants, and animals.
